I Completed My Book – What is it about?

If you are signed up to my newsletter, you may know that I completed book one in my romantasy series, Working title Prince. But I’m sure you’d like to know what it’s all about.

Well, I won’t make you wait.

Book 1:

Abducted from her home, a small village near Mankova, Willow is trained to become an assassin. It is not until she turns eighteen does she discover the true purpose of her training. To kill a prince, not just any prince, the prince of Lumin which prophecy says cannot be killed on any day other than his wedding night.

Not only is he indestructible according to the prophecy, but he is also disturbingly handsome, some sort of glamour she assumes at first. But in order to get close enough to deliver the killing strike she must compete against other beautiful full-blooded royal princesses in the Quillin trials; a test of wit, strength and strategy which will test her very fibre.

Can she fool prince Cameron to fall for her in the quests designed to challenge their connection or will she be the one falling for the desirable bachelor?

This is just a rough summary of the book; it is not the official blurb. I have a blurb, but I won’t be revealing it until the book is near release. I am still deciding on what month the releaase will be, at the moment I’m thinking June 2025.

I have already started writing book 2 in the series, but I’m only a few chapters in. I will keep you updated with my progress here, and on my newsletter and socials.

It took me 11 months to write it, and it currently stands at 130k words. I’m at draft three and aim to have it ready for beta readers by February 2025.
